Marine Snail Egg Hatching
A mass. of several dozen microscopic marine snail eggs was found attached to a broken stick in the Gulf of Thailand. Several eggs were separated from the egg mass and showed a higher level of activity.
Looking closely inside the egg, there appears to be a second membrane. This will become the snail’s shell. This video follows the activity over the course of two days as one tiny snail breaks through its egg and gains its freedom.
