Young Ciliated Suctorian

For the first time, I observed cilia covering a Suctorian. Suctorians are ciliates that lose their cilia as they become sessile adults. This must have been a juvenile.

Note: I’m not referring to the tentacles that are clearly visible. It’s hard to see but there are hairlike cilia covering the surface of the cell body. Best watched at full size and resolution on a large screen.
